The new real time strategy game Stormgate is making some waves, it's likely to become the become the most backed RTS of all time on kickstarter, bringing in over 2.2 million dollars of funding with 16 hours left at time of recording.
It's easy to see why people are so excited. It's already one of the most polished RTS made over the past decade, and it hasn't even released yet. And while the development team is an indie company, most of them come from careers working on starcraft 2 or at blizzard, many others are RTS pros. In short the skills are there.
