Recent bans have rocked Commander and the entire Magic community. After some deliberation, here's my take on the value of these bans specifically and the purpose of the Commander ban list as a whole. Commander is, without a doubt, the most popular way to play Magic: the Gathering today and these bans have caused a real stir. My initial reaction was very positive, even though a large portion of the community seems to disagree.
This video expresses the points I think are most relevant in this discussion and it goes far beyond just whether or not these four cards are banworthy. It also goes into competitive versus casual and what this format means to so many people.
