From Universes Beyond sets like Spiderman and Ninja Turtles, to Universes Within sets like Aetherdrift and New Capenna, it seems pretty universal that the close a set's themes are to the real world, the less popular the set is.

Sapling Nursery will make a 3/4 treefolk token every time we play a forest, and the combination of fetch lands and Icetill Explorer allows us to create an army of these every turn!

I saw the deck name "Rakdos Monument" and wrote this deck off without even looking at the decklist because I thought it was just another spell-based draw/discard Monument deck...but it turns out it's a hyper aggressive creature aggro deck the puts out tons of damage super quick!

It's an incredibly good use for your free-to-play gold and people don't even know it's happening because they've written off the format.
Pick 2 draft isn't even a bad way to play, in my opinion. It only failed because it released with the worst draft environment in recent history. So keep an eye on this format, and hope it becomes a regular game mode!

I've enjoyed Oculus decks since Duskmourn released but they've always been a little inconsistent. However, with Lorwyn Eclipsed we got Emptiness, a reanimation spell for Oculus that can be returned to our hand with Overlord of the Balemurk! We also got Twilight Diviner to double our Oculi! I love this deck! :)
