After a weekend of reflection and a realization that I haven't posted any new Magic: The Gathering content in over a month, I am making a not-so-difficult decision to step away from Magic for a little while and focus on content creation for Age of Empires 2.
Magic has been with me since 1995 and it has been an integral part of my life for the past 6 years. The advent of MTG Arena has been a boon to me and it got me through the pandemic and brought me into contact with a wonderful community of gamers. It has been my pleasure to share my knowledge with you all over the past few years and I will do so again.

But for now, I need to shift gears and focus my content creation on a game I am interested in!

Needless to say I've gone back to the drawing board so to speak but I've got the fortitude to enter the AoE Specialists tournament, which will play out over the course of the next month or so.

In Mid-July, we will be branching out and incorporating Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition into our repertoire of games!
I played it a lot in college (which was around 2001) but left it behind once the real world reared its ugly head. I got back into it around February 2024 but really got into it once I got it on my PC and it's like riding a bike. I remember a lot but also, I remember how frustrating it can be!
My goal is to broaden our horizons and incorporate this fantastic strategy game into our repertoire. I'd like to do tutorials eventually, but at this phase, we're just playing some games against human opponents (some ranked, some unranked games) and seeking pointers from you all! I hope it goes well and that people learn from it!

This deck aims to do a bunch of different things: pump tokens out, make them bigger, convoke spells, take extra turns, etc. And it is super duper fun to play! Consistent? Nah! Who needs consistency when you've got the potential to do some serious damage?

The addition of Roaming Throne to all typal builds has just made them sing so well and this deck is no different. Though you won't see the Throne and Necroduality pop off, trust me when they do, it's beyond magical and awe-inspiring!
