Temur Lessons are online in MTG Arena – and you don’t need a single rare or mythic wildcard to play them. Today we’re jamming a free-to-play Temur (RUG) Lesson deck built entirely from commons and uncommons in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender set.
The game plan is simple: use Gran-Gran, Uncle Iroh, and Hermitic Herbalist to ramp and reduce the cost of all our Lesson spells. Once the engine is online, we chain Firebending Lesson, Combustion Technique, Abandon Attachments, Accumulate Wisdom, Seismic Sense, Leaves from the Vine, Octopus Form, and It’ll Quench Ya! to pump up Dragonfly Swarm and swing for lethal out of nowhere. Frontier Bivouac and White Lotus Hideout fix all three colors so the mana stays smooth, even on a strict budget.
At the end I’ll also show upgrade paths if you already own wildcards: adding cards like Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, Iroh, Grand Lotus, The Lion-Turtle, Sokka, Bold Boomeranger, Ran and Shaw, Serpent of the Pass, Multiversal Passage, Breeding Pool, and Stomping Ground to push the power ceiling even higher.
