This card is somewhat narrow but it’s incredibly high upside means it can swing board states in a highly efficient manner. The bigger the spell or permanent you return, the more value you get.

4 mana is not inconceivable for something like this. Sure there will be times where you feel bad about returning a 2 mana spell, but even then you can play a 2 mana removal spell from the band for free.
