In 1994 Zak Dolan became the first ever Magic the Gathering World Champion with this deck - Angel Stasis! It was a Bant lockdown deck that could totally shut the opponent out of the game with a Stasis combo and then won the game with Serra Angel, which could attack through a stasis lock thanks to "vigilance."

Voice of the Blessed was great in Standard when it was surrounded by green/white lifegain cards, but they all rotated out of the format and it hasn't seen much play since. As it happens, a TON of Orzhov midrange cards incidentally gain life, so I think we should jam into the deck and see how it performs!
